Methanol conversion over TiO2 supported oxomolybdate catalysts using Raman spectroscopy.

Catalytic selective oxidation of methanol is used to produce valuable products such as dimethoxymethane (DMM), methylformate (MF) or formaldehyde. The reactions involved are relevant for investigating both redox and acidic properties of a catalyst system. Raman spectroscopy makes it possible to analyze the active phase structure and do so with a good spatial resolution and short collection time.
