In this issue: Learn about the different uses of internal reflection element (IRE) for ATR spectroscopy and the Quest puck styles available.
A great advantage of the Quest ATR accessory is the variety of sampling options and the ease of switching between them. The range of quickly interchangeable ATR “pucks” is the key to its simplicity.
This guide will help you identify the most suitable options for your application. Part 1 outlines the range of puck styles available for Quest. Part 2 discusses the choice of ATR crystals, and is broadly applicable to all ATR accessories.
It is easy to swap between pucks – simply lift the existing puck off the Quest and drop the new puck into place. Three magnets securely hold the puck in place.
We have covered the theory of ATR spectroscopy elsewhere [1], [2]. Should you require assistance in choosing the correct option for your application our expert applications team is always happy to discuss your needs and help you chose the best option for your needs. We can also provide training from our purpose-built demonstration lab at our London headquarters.
