Hey there! Have you ever wondered who’s behind the cutting-edge innovations at Specac? Well, let us introduce you to two of our brilliant minds: Leanne Kellermann and Daniel Andres-Penares.
Leanne is our NPD (New Product Development) lead for the PAT (Process Analytical Technology) category. With her roots in South Africa and a love for running, Leanne brings a unique blend of passion and expertise to her role. She’s been with Specac since May 2023 and has been instrumental in driving innovation in our product lineup. Daniel, on the other hand, is from Spain and serves as our Product Innovation Manager. Despite joining us just over a year ago, Daniel has quickly made his mark with his deep knowledge of spectroscopy and his knack for turning ideas into reality.
Both Leanne and Daniel come from academic backgrounds, having worked in research facilities and postdoctoral positions. Their transition to Specac was driven by a desire to see their scientific insights translated into tangible products that make a real difference in the world.
In their roles, Leanne and Daniel wear many hats. From engaging with customers to understand their needs to leading innovation projects from start to finish, they’re constantly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in spectroscopy.
But it’s not all work and no play at Specac! Leanne and Daniel both rave about the company culture, which fosters collaboration, camaraderie, and plenty of fun. Whether it’s brainstorming sessions or team lunches, there’s always a sense of excitement in the air.
And let’s not forget about their personal connection. Both Leanne and Daniel joined Specac around the same time and even discovered they were expecting on the same day! It’s moments like these that make Specac feel like more than just a workplace!
