About the presenter
Jeff has 35 years of experience in the FT-IR spectrometer accessory industry, working for top companies. He has presented at many OEM workshops, trade shows, and is a member of prestigious societies like Coblentz and American Chemical Society.
Synopsis of the talk
The choice of accessory is dictated by the nature of the sample, and several important questions arise during the selection process:
- Do you require sample identification, and is the final product consistent with your intended creation?
- If there’s an anomaly on your film, what might be the cause?
- Achieving high-quality IR spectra can be approached in various ways, depending on the specific data you seek.
During the presentation, we will explore multiple illustrative examples to help you determine the optimal accessory for your experiment. These examples will cover a range of applications, including Transmission, ATR, Diffuse Reflectance, Specular Reflectance, and various research-oriented accessories.
